Here's What's Hot Here!

Just so you don't forget - add these titles to your list of books you're meaning to read. All of these have had great comments from our patrons. Sometimes word of mouth is the best review.

"The Woman in the Water" by Charles Finch is a prequel to his Charles Lenox mysteries. Charles is only 23 and he's working on his first case. Also, he's having to deal with the possible death of his dear father. Readers of this series won't want to miss this one.

" The Woman in the Window" by A.J. Finn is the top suspense book of late. The poor woman is agoraphobic. She can't leave the house so she spends lots of time watching her neighbors through her window. It may sound a lot like the Hitchcock movie "Rear Window" but it definitely is not. You will have a hard time putting this down. You can bet you won't see the end coming.

"An American Marriage" by Tayari Jones is Oprah's book club pick. One patron said she generally doesn't go for Oprah's picks but this one was very good. Descriptions of this selection are "haunting", "beautifully written", "heartbreaking", even "masterpiece". Wow, those are heady words for a book. Let us know what you think after you read it.

"The Wife Between Us" by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is a psychological thriller. Here an angry ex-wife is stalking a young fiancee. This has been compared to "Gone Girl" so if you loved that book this may be just the ticket for a good vacation read.

Kristen Hannah's newest book "The Great Alone" is now available. She had a career high with her prior book "The Nightingale". She has even said it would be hard to match that success. She wondered if she should quit writing but she said since she's a writer she continues to write. And lucky for us - reviews and patron comments are excellent about this story in Alaska set in 1974.
